Sports star serves hometown

Fourteen-year National Basketball Association veteran David Wesley made it a point to return to his Cialis Online pills hometown of Longview to oversee the 8th annual basketball camp at Longview High School Auditorium.  Known as the Most Valued Player camp the event is sponsored by Longview Regional Medical Center (LRMC,) charges no fees and hosts 100 children every summer.  Proceeds go to support the Foundation and the local Boys and Girls Club.  Wesley makes it clear he loves taking part.

“I like being with the kids,” he said.  “I want them to know that they can be anything they want to be.”

His father Donald Wesley is equally dedicated to helping the children.

“We love doing it.  We love the kids,” the elder Wesley said.  “We like giving back to the community, too.”

One of the camp organizers, Joseph Pietro, revealed the camp is able to allow the children to attend for free because of financial support from such local sponsors as LRMC, Texas Bank and Trust, ABC generic cialis canadian Auto, Rod Bassett State Farm Insurance, and Wesley and Co.

The camp teaches participants sportsmanship, along with interpersonal and communications skills.

“There are no free camps in this town,” said Pietro.  “Moreover, the kids are even insured for the camp and well fed for two days.”

Sisters Alicia and Allanah Mendoza found the camp delightfully exciting on this, their first, visit.  They especially enjoyed the basketball.  They made new friends and are already looking forward to next year.  They especially loved getting to meet David Wesley.

“I was surprised to see a real NBA star and be close to him,”  said Alicia.  “It is our first time to see one and learn that he attended Longview High School.”

At the camp’s conclusion the children receive a complimentary T-shirt and have their picture taken with David Wesley, who also autographs it for them.
