This year’s Texas Nonprofit Theatre (TNT) Youth Conference will be held in Bryan/College Station as youthful Texans (many of them members of youth theatre companies) aged 7-18 meet to share their love for the performing arts.
This gathering gives these aspiring Thespians the chance to hone their skills in acting, movement, singing and improv.
Longview’s participants will depart June 16 to showcase their performance of The Case of Alex Hansen as ArtsView Childrens’ Theatre’s first presentation at the TNT conference.  Tickets will be $5 per person for two earlier “hometown” showings June 2 and 3 at 7:00 p.m.
The plot has Alex awakening to find himself on trial for his life with incompetent legal representation.  Despite the chaos of this court, he has already been assumed guilty. Still, he senses he has an advocate somewhere, and the play ends with him having a most enlightening epiphany.
Cast members include Judah Armour, Kristen Barton, Caroline Bump, Elijah Bump, Garrett Burton, Nikki Camp, Rachel Cole, Christian Funderburk,  Allison Garrett, Adrian Hernandez, Kelsey McFall, Blake Lovelace, Emily Parker, Megan Stevens, Jori Sutton and Lydia Wallis.
