Adoption event to celebrate Pit Bull Awareness Month

The Humane Society of Northeast Texas is proudly celebrating Pitt Bull Awareness Month with a special adoption event on Saturday, October 26, at Jake’s Feed from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. in Longview. Jake’s Feed store is located on 3612 McCann Road North of Loop 281, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Furthermore, there will be several activities to entertain the whole family. From “pet-a-Pitty” to the “kiss-a-bull” booth, the Humane Society will feature their bully breeds and Pitt bull mixed breed dogs and puppies.

In addition, this event hopes to demonstrate to the public that the problems with misbehavior among dogs are in no way breed specific. Hence, human beings remain responsible for the behavior of their pets. Also, the Human Society will have adoptable dogs who deserve the opportunity to have a loving family. This is a community event so, everyone is invited. Bring the whole family for a time of fun and love.

For more information about the event, or the Human Society of Northeast Texas, please contact Scott, the director; or Karina, the volunteer coordinator, at 903-297-1270.
