Arts abound: Experience Downtown Longview differently with AlleyFest

AlleyFest 2013, a 3-day street festival, kicks off Friday, May 9 in Downtown Longview and runs through Sunday the 11th. Sponsored by One Hundred Acres of Heritage Main Street, this year’s 3-day street festival is bringing AlleyFest back to its roots featuring all Texas bands as part of MusicFest 2013. This year’s lineup includes Westbound 21 and Bleu Edmondson on Friday night. Saturday night will feature Lulu and the Vipers, Kayla Reeves and Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights.

KidsFest on Saturday and Sunday will have among others The World of Wonders and Artsview Children’s Theaters with special activities. New this year will be a car show on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the southern intersection of Fredonia and Tyler Streets.alleybanner

Festival hours and admission prices

 

Friday-6:30 p.m. to closing-$10.00

Saturday-10:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.-$5.00. After 5:00 p.m. until closing-$10.00

Sunday-11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.-$5.00
