Bingo benifits victims

“Bags, Boots and Bingo” is a fun and uniquely effective fund raiser supporting the Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center of Gregg and Harrison counties. On Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. the event will he held at the East Texas Builders’ Association Event Center at 2023 Alpine Road in Longview, and will include bingo games, door prizes, refreshments and special party favors for all in attendance.

Bingo prizes will be famous designer handbags and boots. Fashion jewelry, scarves and home décor from East Texas’ finest boutiques will be given away as door prizes. Because of limited seating, attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible. Advance tickets are $35, and any remaining tickets will be sold at the door for $40. A table for six can be reserved for $300. This sum includes bingo cards, refreshments and participation in door prize drawings. The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit operation dedicated to providing every abused child with the opportunity to seek deliverance from situations of violence and/ or neglect, to receive assistance needed for immediate improvement, and for a better future. In Fiscal Year 2013 the Martin House carried out 474 forensic interviews with children with suspected or confirmed instances of abuse, providing 223 of these young sufferers with health counseling and advocacy support.
