Any student and family planning to attend college are encouraged to get help applying for college financial aid by attending a free FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on Sat., March 17 and Sun., March 18 from 2-3 pm at the Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton Street.
Students and their families are strongly advised to bring the following documents when coming:
A copy of 2011 Federal Tax information, (parent and student 1040 EZ, 1040A or 1040 and all W-2 forms)
Current bank statements
Student’s driver’s license and Social Security card
Student Alien Registration card where applicable.
If tax forms have not yet been completed, please bring W-2 forms and final paycheck stubs for 2011 as well as other financial and investment records that helps determine eligibility.
