East Texas Community Chorus to present Spring concert

The East Texas Community Chorus will present the concert, “Of Love and Spring,” on Tuesday, April 12, in Longview.
The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. at Longview’s First United Methodist Church.  Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.
Musical selections will include English madrigals, medleys from the musicals “The Sound of Music” and “My Fair Lady,” Chansons of Paul Hindemith and English, Irish, and American folk songs on the subject of love.
The ETCC is a 50-member adult community chorus comprised of area singers ranging from amateurs to professionals.
The group also has another concert set for 7:30 p.m. May 3, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview – its Masterworks Concert – where the group will perform the latter half of Handel’s “Messiah” with an orchestra.
The ETCC is a part of KC’s Continuing Education Department, and is directed by Jim Taylor, KC’s Director of Choral Activities.
