Eastman to reward employee resource

Eastman Chemical Company will be giving cash bonuses to all of its eligible employees in return for their great efforts toward achieving the company’s recent booming success.
Eastman Chairman/CEO Jim Rogers expressed the company’s extreme gratitude to its invaluable workers.
“Eastman employees have worked tirelessly to help the company through an unprecedented recession while continuing to work safely and focus on growth,” he said.  “As a result we have strengthened our businesses, are successfully executing our growth strategy, and have established a new level of earnings performance on which we are continuing to build.”
He had yet more words of gratitude.
“What our employees have accomplished is nothing short of transformational, and I, along with the vice-presidents of the company, am proud to make this payout.”
All qualifying employees worldwide will partake of these bonuses. The amounts vary according to local and regional markets.  The corporation expects to shell out almost $1.5 million to the approximately 1500 employees of the Longview site on 13 May.
Eastman manufactures chemicals, fibers and plastics used in various household products.  About 10,000 of its employees internationally pool their abilities to provide practical solutions to everyday matters.  The company seeks out durable business opportunities within various markets and locales.  Headquartered in Kingsport, Tennessee its 2010 sales total was $5.8 billion.
