In appreciation of National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Appreciation Week, Longview Regional Medical Center (LRMC) on Wednesday hosted its annual “Hamburger Cookout” to say thank you for all of the hard work, dedication and commitment our local EMS provides our community.

“Longview Regional Medical Center has been hosting this event for more than 11 years,” said Michelle Wylie, Trauma Coordinator at LRMC. “This is all done to show appreciation to our EMS providers to recognize their service and daily commitment to our community.”

LRMC is appreciative of local EMS tireless efforts and countless hour spent helping local citizens. Stephanie Foster, Chief Nursing Officer of LRMC said,  “In 2013, we moved the cookout to the Fire Department training facility to truly bring our appreciation to the great team of EMS.”

All of the EMS providers, which include the Longview Fire Department, Champion, East Texas Medical Center (ETMC), Camp County and volunteer departments, were invited and welcomed to this cookout. Longview Regional Medical Center  not only provided lunch but  gave an appreciation gift in honor of EMS Week.
