Every step counts: Mayor to hold monthly FitWalk March 5

As part of the FitCity Challenge, the community-wide campaign to promote healthy, fitter lifestyles for Tyler residents, Mayor Barbara Bass will hold the next Monthly without a FitWalk at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5 at Rose Rudman Trail; the walk will leave from the entrance off of Copeland Road.
“The Mayor’s Monthly FitWalk is designed to encourage residents to make exercise a part of their lifestyle,” said Mayor Barbara Bass. “Every step counts toward making us a healthier community.  I would like to see all of our residents at the park so we can all get a healthy start to our weekends.”

The Mayor’s Monthly FitWalks take place the first Saturday of each month; visit www.CityofTyler.org/News for the location of each walk.  The walks last between 30-40 minutes and are planned in the early morning to allow residents to easily fit them in to their busy schedules.
