The City of Longview and Keep Longview Beautiful will host Longview Recycles Day and the Fall Trash Bash on Saturday, November 9, at the Sears parking lot of the Longview Mall, 3500 McCann Road. The events, held in conjunction with America Recycles Day, encourage residents to recycle unwanted items and volunteer to help clean the community.

Recycling will also be available for glass, motor oil & filters, plastic bags, batteries, ink cartridges, paper, cardboard, plastic and metal cans. Tire Recycling will also be available but will require a current water bill and drivers’ license for proof of Longview residence. In addition, the Lion’s Club will be accepting used eyeglasses. Habitat for Humanity will be accepting donations of building materials, lumber and scrap metal. Paper shredding services will also be provided for Longview residents.
