Tickets for the inaugural Downtown Tyler “Show Us Your Shorts” Film Festival are now available at www.tylerfilmfest.com.
The festival is set for Oct. 12-15 at Liberty Hall, 103 E. Erwin.
Prices range from $7.50 to $50, and all nightly tickets provide the holder a full evening’s entertainment, said Beverly Abell, department leader for the City of Tyler’s Main Street Department.
Even the independent film novice will enjoy the works shown at the festival, Abell said, noting that each film must be a comedy and must be under 15 minutes in length. The films must be produced in Texas or produced by a Texas filmmaker.
The festival will kick off on October 12 with a 6 p.m. sidewalk party to celebrate the festival. Curtain time inside the Liberty will be 7:30 p.m., and at approximately 9 p.m., an after-party will follow.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, the theater will open at 7 p.m. with a curtain time of 7:30 p.m. each night. Ticket-holders will be able to vote for a People’s Choice winner, which will be announced on the evening of Oct. 15. After the final movie on October15, a “meet the filmmaker” wrap party will be held at Gallery Main Street, 110 W. Erwin.
