Firing up July the Fourth

The Freedom Celebration and Fireworks Festival will be held at Maude Cobb Activity Convention and Activity Complex on Friday, July 4.

A full range of activities throughout the day include:

Amusement rides, food and beverages, and a variety of other entertainment, plus vendors in the Exhibit Building, an outdoor stage featuring music acts, a hot dog eating contest, multi-cultural festivities and more. Festival activities will start at 10:00 a.m. and last throughout the day. Festival admission and the firework show are free to the public; however, prices will vary for individual activities.

An indoor concert will be held at Maude Cobb featuring Neal McCoy and Holly Tucker. Doors for the Neal McCoy/Holly Tucker concert will open at 5:00 p.m. and the concert will start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the McCoy/Tucker concert are $15 for Adult General Admission and $7.50 for Children 13 and under (+3.00 surcharge each ticket) and may be purchased at Cavender’s in Longview and at www.outhousetickets.com. The days activities will be topped off with a spectacular firework display that will start at dark.
The Fireworks and Freedom Celebration is sponsored by the City of Longview and several other community sponsors.
