Friends of the Library Meeting slated January 27

Interested in joining Friends of the Library? Want to learn more about the group? Come to their next meeting here at the library on January 27th at 5:30pm.

You can learn how this very important group helps support the library through fundraisers, book sales and other projects. They will also be electing officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer), so if you are interested in being a leader, now is your chance!

You don’t have to be a member of Friends to attend their meetings, but serving on the board or simply becoming a member is a great way to support your local library. Memberships start at just $5.00! The Friends of the Longview Public Library is a non-profit organization established to support the programs and services of the Longview Public Library. Specifically, we support, assist and promote Library activities and help fund the Summer Reading Program and other presentations such as author visits, puppet programs and book fairs, etc. For more information, visit our Friends page on our website http://library.longviewtexas.gov/friends-of-the-library.
