Ten high school art students were recently named as Kilgore College scholarship recipients as part of the annual KC Secondary School Portfolio Competition Carly Hedrick of Longview High School walked away with the top prize – $2,000 KC scholarship.
Two jurors Dr. Rebecca Riley and Future Akins-Tillett judged students’ work.
Riley is an artist and vice president at Lone Star College—Kingwood in Houston. Akins-Tillett is an associate professor in Art Education and Visual Studies at Texas Tech University.
