Information: May 14 general election

Candidate Filing: The May 14 General Election will include City Council Districts 3 and 4.
Filing for a place on the ballot began on February 12 and continues through March 14, 2011.
The last day for a regular write-in candidate to declare candidacy for the General Election is March 21. Candidates may file for a place on the ballot during regular office hours at the City Secretary’s Office, 300 W. Cotton St.

Voter Registration:
The last day for a person who is not registered to vote to register and be eligible to vote in this election is April 14, 2011.

Early Voting:
Early online without voting will take place on the following dates at City Hall, 300 W. Cotton St.:
May 2 – 6: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
May 7: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
May 9 – 10: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

May 14 General Election Voting:
Election Day voting will take place from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011.
District 3: Broughton Recreation Center, 801 S. MLK Blvd.
District 4: Forest Park Magnet School Library, 1644 N. Eastman Rd.
Please note that the polling locations for Districts 3 and 4 have changed from previous elections.
