Performance slated

Bring your kids and come enjoy the Magik Theater’s performance of “If You Give a Moose a Muffin,” on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. at the newly restored Liberty Hall in downtown Tyler.
“If you give a moose a muffin, he’ll want some jam to go with it.” So begins the most logical silliness to be found anywhere–at least since Laura Joffe Numeroff and illustrator Felicia Bond’s popular book “If you Give a Moose a Muffin.”
The story follows a young boy and his voracious visitor through a series of antlered antics: jam reveries, puppet shows and big messes. Children will relate easily to the full-circle reasoning of the story, while picking up the concept of cause and effect.
The Magik Theater was created as a voice for young people and families throughout. It began in 1994 as a professional theatre for both adults and youth, bringing lively performances of fairy tales and fables to children aged three to ten years old.
Tickets cost $10 and are available online at www.libertytyler.com or by calling (903) 595-1521.
