Rose City touts art

The Art of Giving Gala at the Tyler Museum of Art, Thursday, May 26th, resulted in 40 artworks being presented and auctioned.  Students from kindergarten to seniors in high school were selected with four student artworks selected as Best In Show.  The anticipated results from the event total $40,000; students selected from among 22 area nonprofit organizations to divide their artwork proceeds with the Tyler ISD Foundation.

Forty students received trophies and were displayed at Tyler Bank and Trust, West Grande; Suddenlink Corporate Offices, ESE Loop 323; and the Tyler Museum of Art. Back row: Barbara Bass, Mayor of Tyler; Todd Cruthird, Suddenlink VP and creator of the event; Larry Goddard, Executive Director, Tyler ISD Foundation; and Dr. Kimberly Russell, Tyler Junior College Vice President Advancement.
