$8,372,357 grant for airport improvements in Tyler announced

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport will receive a federal grant worth $8,372,357 for airport improvements, U.S. Sen. John Cornyn announced. The funding comes through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) within the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). “These funds will be used to address needed maintenance and safety improvements at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport,” Sen. Pounds Field getting busier

While many American airports are seeing a decrease in business Tyler’s Pounds Field is staying busy. After a recession-caused decline in incoming and outgoing flights lasting several years the airport is rebounding.
