State unemployment rate fall results in changes to unemployment benefits

Benefits deadline extended

Jobless Texans will have until March 3, 2012 to qualify for emergency unemployment benefits.  Without this extension assistance for 78,000 claimants would have run out in January. Texas EUC extended

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) today announced a six-week extension of Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Act benefits (Tier IV) for unemployed Texans.
