TB&T raises $200K

Texas Bank and Trust invited the community out to give Buckner their best shot at the 15th Annual Texas Bank and Trust Sporting Clays Challenge.

A total of $204,000 was raised to help support Buckner programs in Longview.

“Thank you to everyone who came out and made this year’s sporting clays challenge our most successful tournament to date,” said David Ummel, executive director for Buckner in East Texas. “We are incredibly thankful for the faithful support of Texas Bank and Trust, and it is because of generous gifts like theirs that we are empowered to best serve vulnerable families right here in East Texas.”

The three day event took place starting Thursday, July 10, at Prairie Creek Sporting Clays located in Gladewater, Texas. The event hosted three flights on two courses with a total of 586 participants. This year the event featured the raffle of a 2014 Nissan Altima sponsored by Patterson Nissan.

Since the event began in 2000, a total of $1,442,112 has been raised to support vulnerable families served by Buckner in East Texas.
