Larry Goddard, Tyler ISD Foundation Executive Director, recently delivered the convocation address to the employees of Chisum ISD; a Texas Education Agency recognized school district in north Texas (Lamar County) Goddard gave an upbeat, encouragement speech to all employees prior to their school year which begins August 22nd. Superintendent Diane Stegall invited Goddard after hearing his speech at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA). In addition, several other districts have invited Goddard to speak. Chisum Independent School District, is a public school district based in the southern portion of Paris, Texas. Superintendent Diane Stegall said she was excited that Goddard, the 2010 Key Communicator for Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA), keynoted the convocation for her school district. “We are pleased that Mr. Goddard was able to put our convocation in his schedule to encourage our faculty and staff,” said Stegall. “We realize he is scheduled for full ankle replacement and are pleased that his dedication to uplifting classroom teachers overshadows his personal health issues.” The district was created in 1985 by the consolidation of the Delmar and West Lamar School Districts and adopted its present name in 1986.
