MarQuita Hackett has been named The University of Texas at Tyler director of financial aid, Charlie Hutchins, assistant vice president for enrollment management, marketing and buy drugs online customer service, announced.
She has served as associate director since 2004.
In the realignment of enrollment services, Hackett will supervise current financial aid staff members and prepare federal reporting for financial aid programs and additional state programs. She also will work closely with the director of enrollment services to make executive decisions for the department.
“I am honored to work for the university at this level,” Hackett said. “I have had a passion for helping students and parents overcome the financial barriers they face when deciding on the best college to attend. I enjoy counseling and assisting students with their financial aid decisions once they are UT Tyler Patriots.”
She has served at UT Tyler since 1997 and previously served as a financial aid officer at the university.
Hackett holds a bachelor of business administration degree from LeTourneau University and an associate of applied science degree in office technology from Tyler Junior College.
