White Oak resident strikes lottery gold

White Oak’s Claude C. Shaw found a $1 million-winning scratch-off ticket while playing Texas Lottery Black Series II-Limited Edition.  Texas Lottery Commission Executive Director Gary Grief explained the game behind this winning shot.
“The Texas Lottery Black Series II-Limited Edition ticket continues to be popular among players, and remains in the top three in sales of all our scratch-off tickets,” he said.
“Mr.Shaw’s prize is the fourth of the game’s six top prizes of $1 million in this game to be claimed.”
Because Shaw bought the ticket at Liberty Food Mart at 5307 FM 1252, West in Kilgore this retailer is eligible for a $10,000 bonus.  Shaw requested minimal press coverage.
This edition of the lottery gives players chances at a total of $44 million in prizes. The overall odds of winning (including break-even prizes) are one in 3.32.
